Last Thursday our team volunteered at the DC Capital Food Bank. We sorted donated food items. It was awesome to be able to extend our outreach in the DC community. Tamisha Williams said, “I feel so much gratitude for the gift of giving. I felt good to be there for others and it made me appreciate the things I have.”
Each year DC Capital Food Bank provides good and healthy foods to 540,000 people, which is 12% of our region’s mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and grandparents. This is an incredible service to our community and we are thankful for their work to keep our families fed and healthy. It’s cool to think that our Care Network services and Capital Food Bank services work together to keep loved ones independent and healthy in their home and community.
Thanks to DC Capital Food Bank for having us and thanks to my team for helping out. It means a lot!
